We carefully plan our breedings to produce the best possible offspring. We want puppies that are birdy, bold, well conformed and socialized when they move into their new homes. Your experience at Storm Lake Kennel will be a positive one and does not stop after you take pup home. We strive to continue to help you with your bird dog as long as you need us.
I’ve been raising and training bird dogs for 20 plus years, and in the fall of 2009 the second third of my lifelong dream came true. I have been in contact with Daniel Neil of Black Lake Kennels before about his Gordon Setters. When I contacted him this year he informed me he was getting out of the kennel operation because of health concerns. He wanted someone to purchase his remaining brood stock that would carry on breeding outstanding bird dogs. I could not pass up this opportunity.
Just before the Iowa hunting season opened, I acquired 4 of the best-bred Gordons in the Midwest. These dogs come from proven bloodlines with a reputation for producing fine bird dogs. Needless to say I jumped at this opportunity to own these majestic bird dogs alongside the well bred English Setters I already have. With the addition of these Gordon Setters I am one third away from owning and breeding the three most beautiful bird dogs to ever hunt.
